Dr. Tina Bammes

Practice Philosophy:

Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I now? Where am I going? These are questions people seeing me often ask. As a psychiatrist, I am here to facilitate a person's sense of fulfillment. Answering the above questions can have a grounding effect and help one focus on the task at hand. For many years I have worked as a community psychiatrist in the public sector, treating people with depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and OCD. I have special interests in creativity and the spiritual interface. Medications have often helped my patients tune themselves optimally, but have not always been called for. I think tapping into an individual's strengths, interests, and spiritual beliefs are well as maintaining good dialogues are an important to the process of healing and fulfillment.

First Visit:

In the first session I want to complete as thorough of an evaluation as time will allow. I am interested in learning about what has brought you in. Over the course of the session I want to develop a rapport and an understanding of the situation to where I can offer some help. Sometimes diagnoses take more than one session.

Credentials:

My Medical Degree is from Creighton University School of Medicine, and I served my residency in Community Psychiatry at Oregon Health Sciences University. Many of my 26 years in practice have been spent serving as a Community Psychiatrist. I have worked with adults of all ages as well as patients from several subcultures, adding spice to my practice. I have been a member of the American Psychiatry Association and the Colorado State Psychiatrist Association.
